Backup & Recovery That Works When You Need It Most
We build disaster recovery and business continuity into every client environment from the start – with off-site hosted backup, tested recovery protocols, and a plan that’s been validated before it’s needed.
Why Business Continuity Deserves More Attention Than It Gets
Most businesses don’t think seriously about disaster recovery until something goes wrong. For regulated professional services firms, that’s exactly the wrong time to find out your backup strategy has gaps.
Disasters Don’t Give You Warning
Disruption always arrives without a countdown. The Jasper wildfire didn’t announce itself – but our client’s systems stayed accessible throughout the evacuation because the plan was already in place.
An Untested Recovery Plan Is Just a Document
A backup strategy that’s never been validated under pressure gives organizations a false sense of security. Without regular testing, recovery time estimates are guesswork.
Data Loss Has Consequences
For regulated firms, losing client data is operationally disruptive, and it triggers notification obligations, regulatory scrutiny, and the kind of reputational damage that takes years to recover from.
Your Current Backup May Not Cover Everything
Many businesses discover their backup gaps during recovery, not before. Cloud data, SaaS applications, and M365 environments are frequently underprotected – or assumed to be covered when they aren’t.
Recovery You Can Always Count On
We design and build recovery plans into every client environment, test them regularly, and stand behind them when conditions on the ground demand it. Our track record isn’t theoretical.
Proven When It Mattered Most
When the Jasper wildfire forced a complete town evacuation, our client’s IT environment remained intact and accessible throughout. Business continuity is something we’ve delivered when the stakes were real.
Off-Site Hosted Backup as Standard
Every client environment includes off-site hosted backup – ensuring your data is protected regardless of what happens at your primary location.
Tested Recovery Protocols
We don’t file a recovery plan and hope it works. Testing is built into the program – so your recovery time objectives are based on evidence, and your team knows exactly what to do when it matters.
Zero Gaps in Coverage
We assess the full scope of your environment – including cloud data, SaaS applications, and M365 – to ensure nothing is left outside your backup perimeter. Every system is accounted for.
Continuity Built Around Your Operations
Recovery priorities are organized around the systems that are most critical to your revenue and operations – ensuring that when you need to come back online, the most important elements are addressed first.
Aligned to Our 200-Point Standard
Backup and recovery configuration is assessed as part of our full environment review – so gaps are identified and addressed before an incident, not during one.

Frequently Asked Questions
The cybersecurity questions we’re asked most by Alberta’s professional services firms.
How often is our data backed up?
Backup frequency is configured around your business requirements and recovery point objectives – typically daily at minimum, with more frequent intervals for critical systems. Every backup schedule is documented, monitored, and reviewed as part of your ongoing service.
Does our Microsoft 365 data get backed up automatically?
Not entirely. Microsoft includes a 30-day retention window as part of your subscription, but it’s not designed to recover files that were deleted intentionally, whether by accident or through malicious action. That’s where a dedicated backup solutions comes in. We layer a third-party M365 backup on top of Microsoft’s built-in retention, giving you a secondary recovery option for emails, SharePoint files, and Team content when it matters most.
How do you test whether our recovery plan actually works?
We schedule regular recovery testing as part of the service – simulating real scenarios and validating that your systems can be restored within your agreed recovery time objectives. The results are documented and shared with your leadership team so you always have an accurate picture of your recovery readiness.
How long does recovery take if something goes wrong?
Recovery time depends on the nature of the incident and the scope of what needs to be restored. Because our recovery protocols are tested regularly, we have real data on expected recovery times. We’ll walk you through your specific recovery time objectives as part of the onboarding process, so there are no surprises if the plan ever needs to be activated.
